Richard's father was Richard Sill and his mother was Elizabeth Audland. He had a brother and five sisters, named Edward, Elizabeth, Alice, Sarah, Mary and Rebeccah. He was the third oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 65 in November 1721 in Preston-Patrick. His burial was on November 3rd, 1721 in Preston-Patrick.²
