Benjamin was the son of John Seed from Corehouse, North Bierley, Bradford, a Stuff Maker or Manucacturer (the coarse part of flax).
Benjamin had been married before he maried Jane Smith in 1839, possibly All Lordoff 3-Mar-1829.
Benjamin was a widow when he married Jane in 1839.

Bradford, farmer and cattle dealer, to Mrs Smith, of the Airedale Heifer Inn, near Bingler.
Cant find Benjamin on the 1841 census, but Jane was at Sand Beds as an Inn Keeper (with sons William and Henry). He was a tennant, and also had land to the edge of the river aire (shown on the details of the land auction when Sand Beds was sold by public auction).
Benjamin was at Carr House (a freehold cottage), 226 Brown Royd Hill, North Bierley in 1840, 1842, 1844 and 1858, 1862, 1863
