Ellen was born in 1817 in Worsley.1   She died at the age of 71 in 1888 in Swinton.

‌Ellen and Charles were married in a religious ceremony on August 7th, 1837 at St. Mary-the-Virgin (Eccles).2   They had a son and three daughters, named Ellis, Sarah, Mary and Ellen.
