John was born in 1789 in Bingley.¹ John is no longer alive.

General Notes
- Farmer in 1841 (census and Ellis's marriage) at Hainworth.
  
  In 1851, John and Mary Ratcliffe (62 & 63) were at Spring Holes, Thornton with sons Ellis and Eilliam (38 & 36) and grandson William (9). Ellis was shown as unmarried and William Widowed, but it should be the other way around (except Ellis had also remaried and was seperated).
