Robert was born about 1778.  Robert's father was Thomas Ramsden and his mother was Jane Pollot. He had a sister named Mary.  He was the younger of the two children. He had a half-brother named Betty.  He died in August 1778 in Tottington.  His burial was on August 5th, 1778 at St. Peter's (Bolton).1
