General Notes
Benjamin was the son of Banjamin Mayoh and Ann Whewell, weaver of Darwen (although there are two possible Benjamins)
In 1841, Benjamin and Sarah Mayoh (66 & 60), were farmers at Butterworths, Turton. John Mather (55, labourer) was with them. Butterworths is NE of Bedford Row, Egerton.
In 1851, Benjamin and Sarah (75 & 74) are at Butterworths, Turton with John Mather (69, Ag labourer). There is another Benjamin and Mary (73 & 70) living on the Blackburn Road, Sharples.
Benjamin died in Turton in 1854, aged 78
Benjamin and Sarah do not appear to have had children. The farm was left to their niece Mary Halliwell, wife of John.

From 1798 Benjamin's occupation was Weaver in Bolton.5
From 1841 to 1851 his occupation was Farmer in agriculture for Butterworth's Farm, in Turton.6
