Zacharias Mather

Zacharias was born in 1704 in Radcliffe and his baptism took place on June 3rd, 1704 at St. Mary (Radcliffe).¹

Zacharias' father was Richard Mather Jnr and his mother was <unknown>. His paternal grandparents were Richard Mather and <unknown>. He was an only child. He died at the age of 79 in October 1783 in Tonge-with-Haulgh. His burial was on October 7th, 1783 at St. Peter's (Bolton).¹

  His father was Richard, a collier, and a close relative may also have been a Zachariah Mather (buried 23 May 1665 at St Peter, Bolton). There's also a Zacharias Mather married to Anna Elizabeth with daughter Anna Regina born 26 July 1700 in Prussia, so there may be a German origin.
  
  Zachariah Mather of of Birkenshaw in Turton, husbandman died and left a Will in 1665.
