In 1834, William son of John, a potter from Prescot married Margaret Sim, daughter of Charles Sim a weaver at Prescot.
William and Margaret married in 1839, and lived in Prescot untill about 1849 when they them moved to Eastern Bolton.
In Feb 1847, the family were living at Pit Street, Bolton when wife Margaret died.
In 1851, William and Margaret (34 & 36) were in Pit Street, East Bolton with 6 children. John was born in 1852.
