This cant be “Peter Mather of Whitefield, aged 37”, buried at Stand All Saints, Bury 10 Dec 1837 as he was still alive in 1841.
General Notes
In 1816, there is a Peter Mather who married Sarah Ann at Farnworth. That was probably Peter of Prescot, son of James and Margaret who died Aug 1818 at Eccleston and is buried at Farnworth St Luke, aged 23..
In Jan 1837 Peter Mather married Sarah Goodwin. Charles(?) Mather was witness.
In 1841, Peter and Sally (40 & 30) were at Hollings, Pilkington with 6 children. This may be two families - TBC
