Jeremiah Mather

Jeremiah was born in 1741 in Bolton and his baptism took place on July 3rd, 1741 at St. Mary (Radcliffe).¹²

Jeremiah's father was James Mather and his mother was Mary Mather. He was an only child. He died on July 4th, 1741 in Radcliffe.³

General Notes
- Abraham Mather was witness at Jeremiah's marriage of 1758. One of the possible baptisms is on 30 Mar 1735 for "Jerem Mathers" of Reading, son of Abraham, so the family may have moved North from Reading. However its more likely that Jeremiah was more local, but not the son of James Mather (a Taylor) and Mary, baptised 3 July 1741 at Radcliff and buried the next day.
