Abraham Mather was witness at Jeremiah's marriage of 1758. One of the possible baptisms is on 30 Mar 1735 for "Jerem Mathers" of Reading, son of Abraham, so the family may have moved North from Reading. However its more likely that Jeremiah was more local, but not the son of James Mather (a Taylor) and Mary, baptised 3 July 1741 at Radcliff and buried the next day.
