Jane Mather

Jane was born in 1797 in Tonge-with-Haulgh.¹

  Tonge Moor was a very rural area and had on it many folds where handloom weaving was carried on. Notable among these folds were Tonge Fold and Tomlin Fold.

She died after 1851.
