Arabella was born in April 1804 in Bolton and her baptism took place on April 22nd, 1804 at St. Peter's (Bolton).1  Arabella's father was Richard Mather and her mother was Mary Rigby. She had a brother and three sisters, named William, Ellen, Margaret and Jane.  She was the youngest of the five children.
