Alice was born in 1794 in Standish and her baptism took place on June 3rd, 1794 at All Saints (Wigan).1  Alice's father was John Mather and her mother was Nancy Blinkhorn. She had a brother and a sister, named John and Alice.  She was the youngest of the three children.  She died at the age of 2 in April 1796 in Winwick.  She was buried on April 17th, 1796 in Winwick.2
