Betty was born in 1778 in Radcliffe and her baptism took place on November 1st, 1778 at St. Mary (Radcliffe).1  Betty's father was <unknown> and her mother was Sally Madther.  Her maternal grandparents were Robert Madther and Rachel Ogden.  She died at the age of 32 on April 21st, 1810 in Walmersley.  She was buried on April 23rd, 1810 at St. Mary-the-Virgin (Bury).2
