Ellen was born on October 31st, 1867 in Rainford and her baptism took place there on November 24th, 1867.1  Ellen's father was John Jones and her mother was Catherine Foulkes. She had six brothers named William, Christopher, Samuel, Joseph, John H and Edwin.  She died at the age of 79 on April 6th, 1947 in Neston.2

‌Ellen and George were married in a religious ceremony on June 20th, 1885 in Tranmere.3   They had a daughter named Lily.
