10 Nov 1844, Robert Howarth, son of Robert Greenhalgh married Mary Collings, daughter of Samuel Collings, a gas maker. Both were living at Heywood.
In 1851 Robert and Mary (35 & 30) were in Little Bolton with James (70), Thomas (4), and Elizabeth Ann (1). MMN confirmed as Berry, but there is no marriage for a Robert to Mary Berrry. Samuel Foster (58) was a visitor.

From 1851 his occupation was Factory Worker in Little Bolton.3
Robert and Mary were married in a religious ceremony on November 10th, 1844 at St. Mary-the-Virgin (Bury).4 They had four sons and a daughter, named James, Thomas, Samuel, Henry and Elizabeth. There are possibly more children.
