Elizabeth (Betty) Howarth

Elizabeth, known as Betty, was born in May 1722 in Lower Darwen and her baptism took place on May 29th, 1722 at St. Mary-the-Virgin (Blackburn).¹²

She had three brothers and two sisters, named Edmund, Giles, Jonathan, Ann and Ann. She was adopted by Edmund Howarth & Anne. She died at the age of 73 on March 19th, 1796 in Manchester.³

General Notes
- March 1722, Betty was baptised, daughter of Edmund and Jennete (i.e. not Anne). Either Betty was an illegitimate daughter or Jennette and Ann are the same person.
