Ann was born in April 1783 in Harwood and her baptism took place on April 27th, 1783 at St. Peter's (Bolton).1  Ann's father was John Holt and her mother was Ann Crook. She had a brother and three sisters, named William, Elizabeth, Mary and Esther.  She was the third oldest of the five children.
