Joseph was born on October 30th, 1914 in Bolton.1  Joseph's father was John Heaton and his mother was Mary Alice Woods. He had two brothers named Alice and John.  He was the oldest of the three known children.  He died at the age of 52 on November 4th, 1966 in Bolton.  He was buried in November 1966 at St. Mary (Deane).1 



Joseph's family with Edith Sofield

‌Joseph and Edith were married in a religious ceremony in 1941 at St. Mary (Deane).2   They had a daughter named Joan.
