Mary was born in August 1823 in Warrington and her baptism took place on August 3rd, 1823 at St. Elphin (Warrington).1  Mary's father was James Harrison and her mother was Sarah Hobson. She had a sister named Betsy.  She was the older of the two children. She had three half-brothers named Henry, William and Peter.
