General Notes
In 1841, James and Mary (both 30) were at Mereclough with John (10), William (8), Jane (6), Benjamin (4), and Ann (2). Parents Hanet and Jane Hargreaves (78 & 70) were neighbours at Greenfield Nook.
In 1851, Henry was a widow, 86 a pauper weaver at Grincliffe Nook with his unmarried daughter Sarah (41) and one lodger.
Henry and Jenny were married in a religious ceremony on February 24th, 1803 in Burnley by a curate and witnessed by Thomas Wroe & John Boory.2 They had three sons and two daughters, named John, James, William, Sarah and Ann. There are possibly more children.
