Enoch's father was Samuel Gledhill  and his mother was Martha Percival. He had two brothers named Henry and Nathan.  He was the second oldest of the three children.  He died at the age of 61 in December 1915 in Delph.  He was buried on December 15th, 1915 at St. Paul's (Armitage Bridge).²
