Margaret was born in 1792 in Bolton and her baptism took place on February 12th, 1792 at Ridgway Gates Wesleyan.1  Margaret's father was James Flitcroft and her mother was Mary Lowe. She had a brother and two sisters, named Thomas, Betty and Betty.  She was the second oldest of the four children.
