Anna was born in 1852 in Hanstedt.  Anna's father was Johann Heinrich  Dittmer and her mother was Philippine Katharine Elisabeth Köhrs.  Her paternal grandparents were Johann Peter Dittmer and Anna Magdalena Schmalfeldt. She had two sisters named Katharina and Katharine.  She was the oldest of the three children.  She died at the age of 1 on June 9th, 1853 in Hanstedt.1
