Martha was born on August 4th, 1797 in Huddersfield and her baptism took place on September 25th, 1797 in Highfield (Independent).1  Martha's father was John Crosland and her mother was Sarah Crosland.  Her paternal grandparents were Joshua Crosland and Martha.  She was an only child.
