Peter was born in 1786 at Mather's Fold and his baptism took place on February 23rd, 1786 at Walmsley Presbyterian.1  Peter's father was John Crook and his mother was Ann Walsh. He had two brothers named Thomas and John.  He was the youngest of the three known children.
