Joseph was born on February 22nd, 1883.  Joseph's father was Joseph Parry Cooper and his mother was Mary Lois Connell.  His maternal grandparents were Samuel Connell and Martha Amelia Goodfellow. He had two sisters named Mary and Ada.  He was the oldest of the three children.  He died at the age of 54 on February 10th, 1938.

‌Joseph and Julia were married in a religious ceremony on April 10th, 1907 in Salt Lake County/City.1
