James Clough

James was born on December 29th, 1805 in Breightmet and his baptism took place on February 2nd, 1806 at Christ Church, Ainsworth.¹²

  In 1841, James Clough was a Counter Point Weaver with Sarah (both 30) at Roscoe Fold, Breightmet, with John (10), James (8), Richard (6) and Ann (4). Neighbours, also at Roscoe Fold were John and Susan Clough (both 60), probably his parents.
  
  In 1851, James and Sarah (both 46) were still at Roscoe Fold, Breightmet with John (20), James (18), Richard (17), Ann (14), Thomas (10), Joseph (6), and Robert (4).
