Ann was born in 1826 in Horwich and her baptism took place there on August 20th, 1826.¹²

Ann's father was George Calderbank and her mother was Sarah Marsden. She had three brothers and three sisters, named James, Thomas, Elijah, Harriett, Nancy and Ellen. She was the fourth oldest of the seven children. She died at the age of 77 on February 28th, 1903 in Bolton. Her burial was at Tonge-with-Haulgh Cemetery.³³
