Annie was born in 1906 in Little Bolton and her baptism took place on November 21st, 1906 at St. James (Bolton).1 2  Annie's father was James Brooks and her mother was Catherine Haslam. She had a brother and a sister, named Frank and Edith.  She was the second oldest of the three children.
