In 1851, Samuel "Broughton" (41) was a Wheelwright at Ashton Village with wife Mary (35) and John (9), Ann (7), twins James and Samuel (4), and Elizabeth (1)
In 1861, Samuel Brereton (a Wheelwright) and Mary (50 & 45) were still at Ashton with John (19), twins James and Samuel (13), Elizabeth 11) and Mary (6). Samuel and Hannah Dutton (32 & 35), also Wheelwrights, were neighbours.
