- Richard was the son of Richard Booth, a labourer.
  
  Richard & Betty married in 1822. The birth of arah Catherine reveals Betty's maiden name was Redford (not Hutchinson which is another couple)
  
  In 1841, Richard and Betty (40 & 35) were at Back Kay Street With Joseph and Betty (both 15), Adam (10) and Richard, Alice and Sarah (all 5, bot not triplets)
  
  In 1848, Richard (45, widower) married Margaret Martin (25), daughter of Anthony Martin.
  
  In 1851, Richard (53, painter, lodger) is in W Bolton with new wife Margaret (3), , Alice (16), Sarah C (11), John T (10), George A (2) and Thomas Martin (4)
