Ann was born in August 1817 in Sharples and her baptism took place on August 31st, 1817 at St. Peter's (Bolton).1  Ann's father was Richard Greenhalgh and her mother was Ann Horocks. She had a sister named Betty.  She was the younger of the two known children.
