Dorothee Ahrens nee Dittmer

Dorothee was born about 1865 in Diersbüttel.¹

Birth Notes
- Probably a similar age to Henry, and still living in Diersbuttle in 1901

Dorothee's father was Johann Heinrich Dittmer and her mother was Katherina Marie Magdalene Kuhlmaun. She had four brothers named Peter , Chris, Fred and Henry. She was the fourth oldest of the five known children. She died after 1926.

General Notes
- Heinrich visited his sister (not named) in Diersbuttel for two weeks in about 1901. This was his only ever return visit to Germany.
  
  Dorothee is confirmed as only surviving sibling of Henry (excluding any living in the UK) in 1926. She is described as "Dorothee Ahrens H D, Widow, of Hagen, near Lüneburg, Hanover. She may be a different sister!

- Dorothee was a relative of Johann (Henry) Peter Heinrich Dittmer.
  - Relationship Notes
    - According to his nationalisation application Henery visited his sister Dorothee for 2 weeks in Germany about 1901.
      At the time of his nationalisation application in 1926, Dorothee was the only living sibling (parents also dead).
