Jane Abbott

Jane was born on October 20th, 1841 in Blackburn and her baptism took place on January 29th, 1844 at St. Peter (Blackburn).¹²

Jane's father was Henry Abbott and her mother was Elizabeth (Betty) Edmundson. She was an only child. She died at the age of 36 in March 1878 in Haslingden.³

  In 1861, a year after they were married, Jane and John Knowles lived with Jane's mother. Jane was ther daughter of Elizabeth (Betty) Abbott from Samlesbury (between Preston and Blackburn). Her father Henry was born about 1801 and had died by 1861.
