Nicolas was born on March 10th, 1635 in St-Aubin, Tourouvre, Mortagne, Perche, France and his christening took place there on March 10th, 1635.  Nicolas' father was Jean-Isaac Roussin and his mother was Madeleine Giguère.  His paternal grandparents were Pierre Roussin and Jeanne Nyeulle; his maternal grandparents were Jean Giguère and Madeleine Viette. He had two sisters named Françoise and Louise.  He was the oldest of the three known children.  He died at the age of 51 on March 6th, 1687 in L'Ange-Gardien, Montmorency, Qc.
