Robert was born on March 9th, 1616 in Mortagne, Perche, Orne, France.  Robert's father was Jean Giguère and his mother was Madeleine Viette. He had a sister named Madeleine.  He was the younger of the two known children.  He died at the age of 93 in August 1709.
