Pierre was born on January 2nd, 1610 in St-Martin d'Igé, Perche, (Orne) France.  Pierre's father was Louis Gagné-Gasnier and his mother was Marie de Launay.  His paternal grandparents were Christophe Gagné-Gasnier and Françoise Vallée. He had three brothers named Noël , Jacques and Louis II.  He was the third oldest of the four children.  He died at the age of 46 in 1656.
