יוסף was born in 2199. יוסף's father was יעקב ישראל and his mother was רחל. His paternal grandparents were יצחק and רבקה; his maternal grandfather was לבן. He was the oldest of two children. He had a brother named בנימין. He had ten half-brothers and a half-sister, named ראובן, שמעון, לוי, יהודה, יששכר, זבולון, גד, אשר, דן, נפתלי and דינה. He died, at the age of 110, in 2309.
