Hildegard daughter's father is Louis I Charlemagne and her mother is Ermengarde of Ingerman. Her paternal grandparents are Charlemagne of Pepin III and Hildegarde de Gerold II; her maternal grandfather is Ingerman of Gunderland. She is the second of six children. She has three brothers and two sisters, named Lothair I, Louis II, Pepin I, Adelaide daughter and Rotrud daughter.
