Jewetts of America - Frederick William Jewett

A Record of Edward Jewett, of Bradford, West Riding of Yorkshire, England, and of his two emigrant sons, Deacon Maximilian and Joseph Jewett, Settlers of Rowley, Massachusetts, in 1639 also of Abraham and John Jewett, Early Settlers of Rowley, and of the Jewetts who have settled in the United States since the year 1800.
3385 FREDERICK WILLIAM JEWETT (Joseph1xx7, Joseph7x0, Nathan2xx, Joseph109, Joseph22, Joseph4, Edward1), was born in Granby, Conn., Nov. 25, 1790. He married March 17, 1812, Charlotte Milissa Phelps, who was born in Simsbury, Conn., Oct. 11, 1786, daughter of Col. Noah C. Phelps of Simsbury. Mr. Jewett was a lawyer and resided in Simsbury, but died in Humphreyville, Conn., Jan. 16, 1834. His widow died in Hartford, Conn., Dec. 31, 1871.

5852 Charlotte Juliette, born May 23, 1815; died Feb. 12, 1829.
5853 Noah Amherst, born Nov. 17, 1816; married Roxana Street of West Springfield, Mass., and died in Albany, N. Y., June 17, 1849.
5854 Frederick Stiles, born Feb. 26, 1819; married Sarah Jane Steele, a resident of the West India Island of Antigua. Mr. Jewett, before his marriage, was the editor of a government journal for some years in the West Indies. He removed from there to Harford, Conn., about 1850, where he became an artist of considerable prominence and where he died Dec. 31, 1864. His widow died about 23 years later, s. p.

5856 Henry Frank, born Feb. 23, 1826; married Diantha Carter.*
