Ira Stephens Sr 
Ira was born on July 18th, 1759 in Canaan, Litchfield County, Connecticut.1 Ira's father was Jedediah Stephens Sr and his mother was Mary Rathbone. His paternal grandparents were Henry Stephens Jr and Elizabeth Fellows. He had four brothers and seven sisters, named Joshua, Jedediah, Rufus, Nathan, Mary, Thankful, Martha, Anne, Eunice, Sylvia and Cynthia. He was the fifth youngest of the twelve children. He died due to Killed by James Rogers at the age of 44 on September 20th, 1803 in Angelica, New York, USA.1 General Notes
