Roy was born on June 11th, 1900 in Petoskey, Emmet County, Michigan.1  Roy's father was Squair Amos Robinson and his mother was Hattie Jane Hunt. He had four brothers and a sister, named Clyde, Frank, Squair, Jonathan and Cora.  He was the second youngest of the six children.  He died at the age of 65 on July 31st, 1965 in Muskegon, Muskegon County, Michigan.  He was buried at the Shippy Cemetery, Grant, Michigan.1 1
