Marie was born on January 22nd, 1696 in St. Francois Xavier, QC.1 Marie's father was Ignace Gaignier (Gagne) and her mother was Louise Tremblay. Her paternal grandparents were Louis Gasnier (Gagne) and Marie Michel; her maternal grandparents are Pierre Tremblay and Ozanne (dite-Anne Achon) Jeanne. She had a brother and a sister, named Francois and Barbe. She was the oldest of the three children. She had a half-sister named Genevieve. She died at the age of 82 on June 1st, 1778 in Baie St. Paul, Charlevoix, QC.1 -
