Hiram Augustus Drake 
Hiram was born on April 20th, 1849 in Mayfield Township, DeKalb County, Illinois.1 Hiram's father was Hiram Drake and his mother was Mariah Walrod. His paternal grandparents were Abijah Drake and Abigail Smith. He had three brothers and five sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named Orlando, Frank, Edward, Mary, Sarah, Ellen, Elva, Millie and Willa. He was the fifth oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 41 on January 28th, 1891 in Mayfield Township, DeKalb County, Illinois. He was buried at the Elmwood Cemetery, Sycamore, Illinois.1 1 General Notes
