Alexander “Oles” SZWARC 
Alexander, known as Oles, was born in 1899 in Zgierz, Poland. Oles' father was Issucher Mosze SZWARC and his mother was Salomea Sura GLICKSMAN. His paternal grandparents were Hersz Ber SZWARC and Miriam GLICKSMAN; his maternal grandparents were Wolf GLIKSMAN and Zysl TENENBAUM. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Samuel, Wolf, Szymek, Henryk, Marek, Cypora, Mania, Zosia and Ida. He was the third youngest of the ten children. He died at the age of 89 in 1988 in Montreal, Canada.-
