Esther was born on October 25th, 1887.  Esther's father was Rabbi Menahem HA-SARFATI (SERFATY) and her mother was Hanina ABECASSIS (BO-QSIS).  Her paternal grandparents were Rabbi Mordekhay HA-SARFATI (SERFATY) and Sa'adah HADIDA. She had two brothers, and also three siblings of unknown gender named Ha-Katan, Ididia, SERFATY, SERFATY and SERFATY.
