Michael was born on March 20th, 1669 in Beringen. Michael's father was Georgius Windelen and his mother was Maria Gaethofs. His maternal grandparents were Antonius Gaethofs and Elisabeth Aerts. He had seven brothers and a sister, named Geirgius, Anthonius, Georgius, Anthonius, Petrus, Vincen,tius, Anthonius and Maria.
