Alphonsus (Fons) Vandingenen 
Alphonsus, known as Fons, was born on August 25th, 1888 in Kwaadmechelen. Fons' father was Augustinus Vandingenen and his mother was Maria Eulalie (Eulalia) Gaethofs. His paternal grandparents were Benedictus Vandingenen and Maria Josepha Heselmans; his maternal grandparents were Joseph Gaethofs and Maria Susanne Lamberechts. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Josephus, Ludovicus, Bruno Constantinus, Maria Cornelia and Maria Clementina. He was the second youngest of the six children. He died at the age of 58 on May 6th, 1947 in Kwaadmechelen.-
