Mathias Postelmans

Mathias was born in 1738 and his baptism took place on December 27th, 1738 in Lummen.  Mathias' father was Walter Postelmans and his mother was Marie Gompers.  His paternal grandparents were Petrus Postelmans and Elisabeth Lambrechts; his maternal grandparents were Arnoldus Gompers and Elisabeth Aerts. He had four brothers and two sisters, named Arnold, Petrus, Joannes, Henri, Anna Elisabeth and Marie Catherine.  He was the third youngest of the seven children.
